Unique Lanolin based Technology
Coatings are based on paint technology
The Paint Brush Test: A paint brush dipped in Deck Doc oil and left unclean will remain in a soft pliable state indefinitely. Note: A similar test with Solid membrane coatings, the brush bristles will set rock hard.
Most conventional coatings use colour pigments derived from paint technology. Over time, weathering leaches out the timber's natural tannins, resulting in a total loss of natural colour.
Artificial pigments are then added in an attempt to replicate it, but the result is invariably unnatural in appearance. It makes little sense to strip the beautiful natural colour from quality timber only to replace it with an artificial substitute.
